SPECIAL NOTE: INFALLIBILITY

There is a very important reason why I chose to isolate this topic in the discussion of character development. Many times, it is tempting to create a character that makes few, if any, mistakes and is never, or rarely, injured. I cannot emphasize enough how much you can add to a character by freeing from them from the rigid confines of invincibility. No one wants to see their character get hurt or beaten (not true, actually, but I'm just generalizing here), but it adds so much if you create a realistic character. Not only that, but roleplaying with an invincible character can be tiring. I hate to say this, but it often correlates with lazy character development. You're supposed to be writing a realistic character, and unless you're the highest ranking member of your group, you're not invincible.

That's not to say you should apply the Mustafar treatment to your character. They don't have to be seriously injured. Maybe a blaster bolt will graze their arm, causing a bit of difficulty. Perhaps they'll forget that they put their blaster on safe and it doesn't shoot the first shot. As I've said before, what you eventually do is entirely up to you, but please keep this in mind.

**PLEASE DO NOT FOLLOW THESE RULES FOR DUELING** Refer to the dueling lessons above to learn how infallibility works in dueling. It is very different.
